US Dollar Hits Record Low Against Euro

(AP) - The U.S. dollar stumbled to a record low against the euro and was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Thursday morning. Gold was steady.
The euro, in its second straight day of record-setting, hit an all-time high of $1.3927 Thursday morning. It then retreated to $1.3905 at 0950 GMT, down from $1.3908 late Wednesday in New York.

The British pound was quoted at $2.0243, down from $2.0302.
Gold traded in London at $708.10 per troy ounce, down from $708.70 late Wednesday.
In Zurich, gold traded at $705.95 bid per troy ounce, up from $705.20.
Gold fell $3.80 in Hong Kong to $708.65.
Silver opened in London at $12.51, down from $12.56.
