(AP)  -  Investment manager Calamos Asset Management Inc. said Tuesday its total assets under management in April rose 7 percent from the previous month.

Calamos had $43.7 billion in total assets under management at the end of April, compared with $40.9 billion at the end of March. The investment manager had $43 billion in assets under management at the end of April 2007.

About $32.5 billion of the assets under management at the end of April were in mutual funds at Calamos. The remaining $11.2 billion were in separately managed accounts.
